Since you landed on this page, I’m going to assume you want to learn how to take better pictures. I made it easier by putting together posts that I believe are good and basic photography tips for beginners.

I hope this is a good starting point for you and that you find it helpful.

The most important elements in photography are light and composition.

It doesn’t matter what type of camera you have. If you place your subject under good lighting condition and compose your photo well, you’re going to get a decent looking photo. Even with a phone camera. A fancy camera can’t overcome bad lighting and composition.

But, what are good lighting conditions and what is a good composition?

Many posts will revolve around those topics. But here are some posts you can start with:

Composition Part 1

Shutter Speed

Exposure part 1

A little more advanced:

Exposure Part 2

3 Tips for taking pictures in bright sunlight

If you don’t have a camera yet or looking for recommendations on a camera, lenses etc, I put together a Gear Guide page.

If you’d like to gain more insight about natural light, and how to use it, read my review on the eBook called, Natural Light.
